Proposal for a website redesign of an existing website to help simplify and clarify their existing information architecture.

Creative Brief

Your assignment is to propose a redesign of an existing web site based on your assessment of it's effectiveness. Assignment objectives include producing three user scenarios, reconstructing the site's information architecture using results from card sorting and reverse sorting, and creating wire frames to better layout the site pages based on your findings.

User Personas

User personas and scenarios were designed to show what would bring potential users to the website, their needs, and how they would walk through the website to complete their task based on the existing information architecture.

Card Sort Results

A card sort was performed having at least fifteen individuals sort twenty-five potential tasks from the website, sorting the tasks where they thought they would be most likely to find them.

Reverse Sort Results

After data was collected from the card sort, I brainstormed ideas for a simplified, more functional hierarchy for this site. A reverse sort was conducted based on the proposed revised information architecture to test its functionality.
